The American Gem Society was founded in 1934 as a consumer protection organization. With that ideal in mind, we provide our customers with an easy to understand diamond overview that empowers and educates. Whether it is a diamond center stone purchase or if you are entrusting an heirloom diamond with us for redesign, this report allows us to show you in 3D the diamond’s unique faceting arrangement and proportions. We grade the diamond for carat weight, color, clarity, and then ensure you really understand the concept of cut. Your visit concludes with new found diamond expertise and a three part report that describes your diamond in detail.
Every diamond is different and our diamond grading software and non-contact measuring device allow us to reveal the shape and angle of every facet. Consistently, people enjoy seeing diamonds enlarged in a rotatable 3D diagram that accurately shows every facet. We can do this for every shape of diamond. However, for round and princess cut diamonds, we can provide a light performance image and numerical score in the diamond report.
This technology also allows us to inscribe a unique identification number on the girdle on all of our Pieter Andries center stones.
