The Art of Jewelry Making
The old-fashioned way, finished by hand — with the aid of modern technology. Two paths to a piece that is yours alone: a new commission built around gemstones we source for you, or a beloved heirloom restyled into something new.

Created Just for You
Pieter Andries makes commissioned jewelry the old-fashioned way — finished by hand, by craftsmen who set every gemstone and polish every facet themselves. We pair that bench-side discipline with the precision of modern technology, so every design is engineered before it is cast. Each piece is created just for you — built around a gemstone, a story, or an heirloom worth carrying forward. Over fifty years of experience sit behind every piece that leaves the workshop.
New Commissions
A piece designed from the ground up, around a gemstone we source for you. The Pieter Andries commission process — gemstone leads, design follows, every stage executed inside our Southlake workshop. The inverse of mass manufacturing, and the only way a piece becomes one of a kind.
Heirloom Restyling
Beautiful diamonds and gemstones never go out of style — but fashion changes. A piece you inherited, or one you wore for decades and want to wear again, re-set into a design that reflects who you are now. The gemstones carry the history. The new design lets you carry it forward.
The Inverse of Mass Manufacturing
We do not design a ring and then source a gemstone to fill it. We discover a gemstone of exceptional rarity — its color, its cut, its character — and that gemstone becomes the creative brief. The design follows, shaped entirely by the qualities of the gemstone itself.
The result is a piece that could not exist any other way. One gemstone. One design. One owner.
From One Rare Gemstone to One Finished Piece
Gemstone Sourcing & Selection
We travel to find gemstones of exceptional rarity. Each gemstone is selected for its character — color, clarity, size, and scientific cut — and presented to you as the origin of the design.
Design & Engineering
The gemstone leads. Our designers build the silhouette around its proportions and light behavior. Every angle, every setting, every detail is engineered to maximize brilliance from the moment the piece is worn.
In-House Manufacturing
Every stage happens inside our Southlake workshop — casting, setting, finishing, polishing. We are prime manufacturers. Nothing leaves the house until it is complete.
Final Inspection & Certification
The finished piece is inspected against the Pieter Andries standard and accompanied by a Certificate of Verification — the house's word that it was made as promised.
Reimagine Your Family Heirlooms
Sentimental family heirlooms can be transformed into a cherished new jewel — in memory of those who wore them before you, and ready to be worn by you, now. The gemstones do not change. What surrounds them does. A design that fit the time the piece was first made can be retired, while everything that made it meaningful — the gemstone, the metal, the story — is carried forward into something new.
Our design professionals will listen to your desires and propose a piece that is a true reflection of you. Endless possibilities, one gemstone at a time.
From an Inherited Piece to a Piece That is Yours
Bring the Piece In
Bring the heirloom to our Southlake showroom for a private consultation. We examine the gemstones, evaluate the metal, and document what is there before we recommend anything. Sentimental detail matters as much as gemological detail.
Design Conversation
We listen first. What you want the piece to feel like, where you will wear it, what about the original you want to keep and what you are ready to retire. Our designers propose a direction, and the conversation continues until the new design is right.
In-House Restyle
Gemstones are removed under our own bench, evaluated for tightening or recutting if appropriate, and re-set into the new design. Casting, setting, and finishing all performed on-site by the same craftsmen who build new commissions.
Delivery & Certification
The restyled piece is inspected against the same Pieter Andries standard as new commissions and accompanied by a Verification Certificate documenting both the original gemstones and the new design.
One of One
A single rare gemstone — or a gemstone that has lived several lifetimes already. A client who wanted something that did not exist. A conversation that became a drawing, a drawing that became a piece. This is how every Pieter Andries commission ends — and why it begins the way it does.
BEGIN YOUR COMMISSION

Just a conversation, with the house.
