The Certificate of Verification
Knowledge, reassurance, and verification within the highest ethical standards. Every Pieter Andries piece is accompanied by a certificate — the house's word, in writing.
Our Integrity
Every diamond we accept into the workshop is verified against a written standard before it reaches a setting. Origin. Ethics. Grading. Performance. Value. We do not take a third-party certificate at face value, and we do not pass a gemstone forward without the house's own confirmation. Every piece you take home carries a Pieter Andries Verification Certificate — the record of what we found, what we did, and what we will stand behind.
Five Standards a Gemstone Must Pass
Earth Mined
We work exclusively in earth-mined diamonds. Gemstones are sourced from natural origin, not synthesized in a laboratory. The distinction is documented at intake and accompanies the piece for life.
Origination & Legal Sourcing
Every gemstone arrives with documented chain of custody — country of origin, cutter, dealer. We do not handle gemstones whose provenance cannot be traced. Conflict-free is the starting standard, not the goal.
Accurate Color & Clarity Grading
Independent laboratory grading — typically GIA — is re-inspected in our workshop under controlled lighting and master-gemstone comparison. A gemstone that does not match its certificate is returned, regardless of price.
Beauty & Light Performance
A grade on paper does not tell you how a gemstone performs on the hand. Every diamond we accept is evaluated for cut quality, brilliance, fire, and scintillation. Gemstones cut for weight retention rather than light return are not bought.
Value Exceeding Price
Vertical integration — sourcing, cutting, designing, manufacturing, and setting all under our own roof — lets us deliver gemstones whose value clearly exceeds what the market would charge through a chain of intermediaries. We pass the structure on to the client.
How a Pieter Andries Certificate Is Earned
Gemstone Sourcing & Selection
Each gemstone is individually sourced and evaluated for rarity — color, clarity, size, and scientific cut. Gemstones that do not meet our standard are rejected before they ever enter the workshop.
Design & Engineering
The design is created around the selected gemstone. Every setting, profile, and proportion is engineered to maximize the gemstone's natural characteristics — brilliance, fire, and presence.
In-House Manufacturing
The piece is manufactured on-site in our Southlake workshop. Every stage of production is performed by our team — from casting and setting to finishing and polishing.
Final Inspection & Certification
The completed piece undergoes a final inspection. Upon passing, it is issued a Pieter Andries Verification Certificate documenting the gemstone specifications, design details, and manufacturing provenance. This certificate accompanies every piece delivered to the client.
A Complete Record of the Piece
Gemstone origin and rarity. Carat, cut, color, clarity. Metal and setting details. Design intent. Craftsmen responsible. Inspection results. Every fact the house knows about your piece — in writing, with the house's name on it.
